Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino: Is he a Born-Again?

Benigno Aquino was born on November 27 1932 in the province of Tarlac to a prominent families of politicians and military leaders. He was a war correspondent for the Manila Times during the Korean War at an early age of 17, he has proven his courage in times of troubles. At the age of 22 he became the youngest mayor in the town of Concepcion, Tarlac a feat unrivalled even up to this day. After six years he became the governor at the province of Tarlac. In 1967 made a history once again by joining the elite politicians of the country for he is regarded as the youngest senator ever produced by the Republic of the Philippines.

As I watching the interview of Ninoy Aquino on the 700 Club, I realized that there is something unusual with the way Ninoy answers those questions that have been asked to him by Pat Robertson and I want to share it to all my fellow Christian Filipinos. Maybe you will not agree with me and we have the freedom to express our opinions. Let us take a look and review some of his answers and testimonies regarding his belief.

"welcome your suffering...
when we are in glory, we don't know HIM
but when we suffer, we remember HIM"

"In the lonely cell of my solitary confinement, i found my inner peace"

"The Philippines is the only Christian Nation in Asia but how come the Bible is not being read by most Filipinos"

"Counting your blessings always"

"Faith will give you hope"

"What is my purpose? I hope this is not too late for me to find true worthiness on this world or on my people. I dont want to be famous nor be a hero, but I want something worthy life to strive on, something I could leave it behind when Im already gone. "

In an interview with 700 Club he mentioned two books entitled Born Again by Charles Colson and the The Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kempis...

In my own point of view as a blogger I considered Ninoy as a Born-Again Christian, for me Born-Again is not only attending churches or you are a member of a religious groups it's the conviction and way of life, although it is necessary for us to fellowship with one another to strengthened us. I believed Ninoy had accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour even before he was assassinated just consider the fact that he is watching the 700 club asia and hearing all those testimonies of good news. My fellow Filipinos you may not agree with me and I give you the right to exercise your right of choice for we are living in a free country, and thanks to Ninoy for inspiring us to move forwards as a proud Filipinos. GOD BLESS US ALL.
